2003 EdenVale Pear House Reserve Collection Syrah

Incredibly smooth, this Syrah opens with rich and silky black cherry fruit balanced with oak enhancing the cacao bean and toasted coffee notes. This spicy peppery Rogue Valley Syrah is bound to ensure a passion packed wine experience now and will hold well into the future.

Varietal characteristics are anise, tobacco and dried black cherry, finishing with chocolate and coffee notes. Besides just sipping this wine to enjoy the exotic flavors, consider pairing with a varied range of spicy flavorful meats with sauces including cheeses.  This is Oregon's most awarded Syrah! 

Cellar Age: 5-9 years

Tasting Notes:This Syrah is a blend of seven different vineyards all the in Rogue Valley. It is wonderfully complex because of the unique differences in elevation, soil and harvest times. Each vineyard was fermented and barreled separately. Each stood out on its own, however together this blend of vineyards made the very best Syrah.

This vintage is a blend of Syrah grapes from seven different vineyards throughout the Rogue Valley. We combined Sam’s Valley, Ashland, Talent, south hills of Medford and the Applegate to make this complex wine an excellent and very dramatic expression of beautiful fruit.
